TravelSure

From now on, TravelSure roaming tariff offers a new possibility of full control of Internet costs while in roaming!

The initial version of TravelSure tariff covered only outgoing and incoming calls, while Internet and SMS traffic was rated at the same prices as the standard roaming tariff. Starting January 3, 2013, TravelSure roaming tariff will include new prices and rate plan of Internet traffic and SMS messages which will enable you to use Internet traffic in Europe at prices starting as low as 0.25 din/kB, but also the possibility of full control of Internet costs while in roaming

A daily Internet traffic consumption quota has now been introduced intoTravelSure tariff. After the daily quota is spent, using Internet in roaming will not be possible. This prevents users from making high bills while in roaming without even being aware of it, which has become more and more frequent among users of smart phones.

There are two levels of TravelSure tariff - TravelSure 10 and TravelSure 50, which are distinguished solely by the quantity of Internet traffic included in the daily quota, as well as the kilobyte price. The daily quota in TravelSure 10 tariff is 10 MB, and in TravelSure 50 tariff the daily quota is 50 MB.

If you need an additional quantity of Internet traffic after having used the daily quota, you can activate it quickly and simply by dialing *120# or sending an SMS message reading “JOS 10MB” (10MB MORE) or “JOS 50MB” (50MB MORE) to number 9000 (due to the specific nature of the service, the activation of the additional quota by making the call and SMS is enabled for business customers, too). This SMS message is charged according to the valid TravelSure pricelist for the country where you are located. Users can activate only the additional quota which is identical to their basic quota – i.e. users of TravelSure 10 tariff can activate only the additional quota of 10 MB, and users of TravelSure 50 tariff can activate only the additional quota of 50 MB. The additional quota may be activated for an unlimited number of times during a day. The additional quota can be activated only after the entire Internet traffic from the daily quota has been used, and/or the previously activated additional quotas.

Important notice: after you activate the additional daily quota, in order to be able to resume usage of internet, on some handset models it will be necessary to initiate a new internet session manualy. You need to go to the Settings, Wi-Fi and Networks menu, Mobile networks sub-menu and to uncheck and check again the data traffic option (Image 1), or by disabling and re-enabling this option via widget (Images 2 and 3). The same can happen in case you use up your daily quota, but do not activate the additional quota, so during night your daily quota is reset and you get the quota for the next day.

Slika 1 Slika 2

The status of the remaining quantity of traffic in the daily or additional quota can be checked at any time by dialing *120*10# or *120*50# free of charge.

Daily or additional quota are valid until midnight CET (i.e. Serbian time), regardless what country the user is in. Due to technical limitations, it is impossible to guarantee that the quota will be valid until midnight sharp, but the actual validity of the quota lasts until a moment between 00:00 and 01:00h Serbian time. At a moment during this interval, the quota is reset and the daily quota for the following day begins to run.

Apart from the savings the users could make on outgoing and incoming calls, now there is also the possibility of large savings on Internet traffic while in roaming.

In TravelSure 10 tariff, the first 3 MB of traffic are charged according to spent traffic, per one kilobyte, without rounding off! The price per kilobyte in Zone 1 (all countries of Europe except Russia) is 0.98 dinars. This means that, if, for example, a customer uses 50 kB in the course of one day, for this traffic he/she will have to pay 49 dinars.

If a customer uses 3 MB during one day, 2,990 dinars will be charged, but the following 7 MB are completely free of charge! This practically means that in this case the customer cannot spend more than 2.990 dinars on daily consumption, if he/she does not expressly wish to, i.e. if he does not activate additional quota. This prevents smart phones from making enormous bills without the customer even being aware of it.

The special offer which applies for roaming in Telenor Crna Gora (Montenegro) shall apply also to users who transfer to TravelSure roaming tariff.

Notes:
  • With TravelSure roaming tariff it is only possible to activate Telenor Putni paket 7 (1GB of data transfer in Telenor Montenegro network).

  • If at the moment of transfer to TravelSure roaming tariff a user has unused traffic from any other Telenor travel packages, this user shall not be able to use it with TravelSure roaming tariff. The only exception is Telenor Putni paket 7, because the unused traffic from this travel package continues to be valid even if the user transfers to TravelSure roaming tariff.

  • Any discounts for roaming and traffic which is free of charge in roaming a business customer may have shall cease to be valid while the customer uses TravelSure tariff.

  • Customers who have activated the old version of TravelSure tariff (before January 3, 2013) will continue using it under existing conditions. If they wish, they may transfer to TravelSure 10 or TravelSure 50 tariffs free of charge by activating the desired option in one of the ways described in “Activation” tab. It is not necessary to previously deactivate the old version of TravelSure tariff.

  • Activation
  • Deactivation
  • Example - voice traffic
  • Example - Internet traffic
  • Private users can activate roaming tariff TravelSure in one of the following ways:
    • By sending SMS message reading “TS10” or “TS50” to number  9000 –this way of activation is also possible while in roaming, but sending of this SMS message is charged according to the standard roaming tariff.

    • Via USSD menu, by dialing *111#, option 7 free of charge – this way of activation is possible from the networks of just certain roaming partners who support the dynamic USSD menu, so in case of activation while roaming, it is recommended to use activation via SMS message.

    • Via My Menu application

    • By a call to Telenor Contact Centre at 063/9000

    • In Telenor shops

    • On the www.dobrestvari.rs portal

Business users can activate roaming tariff TravelSure in one of the following ways:
    • By sending an official request on a stamped company memo signed by a responsible person

    • Via business portal (www.telenor.rs/bizportal)

    • By a call to Business Contact Centre at 063/9000 from numbers registered for activation of services

    • In Telenor shops

After attempted activation in any of the above stated ways, it is necessary to wait for notification by SMS message about the outcome of the activation. The application of TravelSure roaming tariff begins only after receiving such SMS confirmation on successful activation.

Activation of additional quota of internet traffic:

    • By dialing  *120*10# or *120*50#  free of charge
    • By sending SMS message reading “JOS 10MB” or “JOS 50MB” to number 9000 – this way of activation is also possible from roaming, but sending of this SMS message is charged according to the current price within TravelSure tariff.

The activation of the additional quota of internet traffic in these ways is enabled for both private and business customers.

Transfer from one to the other TravelSure tariff (from TravelSure 10 to TravelSure 50 or vice versa):

At any moment customers can change the option of TravelSure tariff free of charge by sending a request for activation of the option they wish to transfer to (if the customer is currently using TravelSure 10 tariff and wishes to transfer to TravelSure 50, it is sufficient to send SMS reading “TS50” or select the option TravelSure 50 in USSD menu without previously deactivating TravelSure 10 tariff).

At the moment of change, the daily quota starts running from the beginning. For example, if the customer has activated TravelSure 10 tariff and spent 5 MB of traffic in the current day (which means that he has already started using the 7 MB of traffic which are free of charge) and at that moment transfers to TravelSure 50 tariff, he will not be able to use the remaining free traffic from TravelSure 10 tariff, but from the moment of transfer to TravelSure 50 tariff he will start using the daily quota of 50 MB from the beginning, regardless of the previously generated traffic in that day).

If you are switching from one to another TravelSure tariff (from TS 10 to TS 50 or vice-versa) while you are roaming, any internet traffic generated during the period from the moment of deactivation of the previous tariff and activation of the new tariff in our systems (which should last only few seconds), will be charged as per the standard roaming tariff.

  • If a customer wishes to transfer from TravelSure roaming tariff back to the standard roaming tariff, this can be achieved in one of the following ways:

    Private users

    • By sending SMS message reading “TS STOP” to number 9000 – this way of deactivation is also possible from roaming, but sending of the SMS message is charged at the standard roaming tariff.

Via USSD menu, by dialing *111#, option 7 free of charge – this way of activation is also possible from networks of just certain roaming partners who support dynamic USSD menu, so it is recommended to use deactivation by SMS message from roaming.

    • Via My Menu application

    • Dialling Telenor Contact centre at 063/9000
    • In Telenor shops

    • On the www.dobrestvari.rs portal

    Business users

Deactivation ways of TravelSure roaming tariff for legal persons are the same as for its activation.

After attempting deactivation in any of the above stated ways, the customer must wait for SMS message containing notification on the outcome of deactivation. Only after receiving the SMS confirmation of successful deactivation, application of standard roaming tariff will begin.

Note: The comparison shows cases when individual sessions are of sizes shown in the tables. In case that user on standard roaming tariff generates 50 MBs of traffic by making large number of smaller sessions, the rated amount would most probably be several times higher due to the rounding applied in the standard tariff (5+100).
